Is Coach Training Right for You? Read our New Guide for Potential Coaches!

Coach Highlight – Becca Drumbor

CM: When did you complete the Transformative Coaching Essentials program and what are some of the most valuable things you got out of it?

BD: I completed TCE in August 2025. The most valuable and consequential skill I got out of TCE is that I do NOT have the right answer, and I’m not SUPPOSED to have the right answer. This has made engaging in all of my conversations, personal as well as professional more natural and easy, and has improved my relationships.   I have also learned a tremendous amount about my own procrastination and avoidance pattern, and am still making strides in this area, which helps me in working with clients who want to address similar issues.

CM: Do you consider yourself a life coach? If no, how would you describe who you are professionally?BD: Yes, and no. I am a Coach. I prefer not to distinguish between life coaching, leadership coaching, business coaching, etc. The coaching skills I use are the same regardless of the types of goals my clients are achieving. And many of my clients are working on goals from multiple areas of thier lives concurrently. I am a Coach for any situation (though will not find me coaching sports, lol).

CM: What would you say to somebody who told you they were thinking about becoming a life coach?                  BD: I would have so many questions for them! What has made them interested in coaching? What kinds of experiences have they had with it? Do they have a particular                   clientelle they want to work with? I can share that coach training for me has truly been transformational for me, and one of the best decisions I’ve made. The fulfillment I                 get from my own personal growth AND working with clients feeds my soul.

CM: What is one misperception you believe people have about coaches (whether designated “life coach” or something else)?BD: I think many people think that life (or bisiness or leadership or fill-in-the-blank) coaches are advice givers, where the truth is the opposite! As coaches, we create the conditions where a person can finally hear themselves.

CM: What is your coaching specialty?

BD: I don’t know if I would call it a specialty, but my unique value as a coach is the beadth of trainings, studies, and life experiences I have completed. I am a licesnced Religious Science Practitioner, and formerly certified massage therapist and emotional healing facilitator. I am grounded in the spiritual truths of my clients, their innate power and capabilities, and my experience in the healing arts helps me support clients as they look for answers and truths within themselves, often creating a transformational shift from within.

CM: Are you a full-time coach?

BD: No, I work for the State of California and work one-on-one with clients on the side, for now. I plan to retire from the state in a few years, and at that time will coach full(-ish) time.

CM: What do you do other than coaching?

BD: I love gathering with friends and community, being outdoors, hiking, bike riding, reading, and dabble in crafts.  Most recently, I’m learning how to draw!

CM: Do you have a website dedicated to your coaching business?

BD: No

CM: Do you have social media accounts that you use primarily for your coaching business?

BD: I can be found on LinkedIn.
